Jesus loves you and doesn't want to send you to hell. It is your actions that will send you to hell, not Jesus, or his Father (who also loves you!). You can achieve a 'get out of hell free card' by responding to Jesus' love, by believing in, trusting, clinging to and relying on Jesus and all that he has done for you on the cross. This is grace upon grace because Jesus allowed himself to be separated from his Father, so that you can live with Him. It is understanding His grace that will allow you to fall in love in him and change.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
