I've heard of life being created with a lab, sperm and an egg, or the more traditional method of a guy and a girl who love each other very much, lots of candles, dinner, plenty of kissing and lots of squishy noises.

But THIS looks like something entirely new. Human beings "creating" life without the aid of sperm or an egg.

Have we just crossed the "God" barrier, and if so, what does it mean to us in a spiritual dimension.

Every time we give someone an antibiotic, or an organ, or put someone on life support, or put a premature baby in an incubator, we 'play god'.

This IMO is a good thing, where we use the knowledge we have to better ourselves. I find the idea that we should be afraid of knowledge somewhat bizarre - especially given the history of christian missionaries spreading literacy throughout the world.
